Non-indigenous communities in Kaduna State have declared their support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made during a mega rally organised by the Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday.
The rally, held under the theme “Together as One, We Stand for Uba Sani – Our Man,” attracted members and leaders of various ethnic associations across the state. Participants marched through major streets in Kaduna, displaying placards and banners in support of the APC administration.
Speaking at the event on behalf of Governor Uba Sani, his 2027 running mate, Jerry Adams, said the administration remained committed to treating all residents equally, irrespective of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.
Adams described Kaduna as a state belonging to everyone living and conducting legitimate business there, while urging the participating communities to mobilise their families and members for the 2027 elections.
The rally’s convener, Chief John Nwankwere, said the gathering was organised to demonstrate the commitment of non-indigenous communities to the APC administration.
Representatives of ethnic associations, including the Ndigbo community, also reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful coexistence and participation in the political process.
The development adds to the growing political mobilisation in Kaduna ahead of the 2027 elections, with various groups declaring support for candidates and parties.
