Experts have called on young people to turn the socio-economic challenges confronting them into opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

The experts made the call while highlighting the important role of youths in addressing unemployment, poverty, insecurity and other challenges affecting communities.

They urged young people to develop relevant skills, embrace technology and seek innovative ways to create value rather than relying solely on government or traditional sources of employment.

According to them, the growing digital economy provides young people with opportunities to develop businesses, create jobs and provide solutions to problems within their communities.

The experts also stressed the importance of education, mentorship and collaboration, noting that young people need access to the right knowledge, funding and supportive policies to turn their ideas into viable ventures.

They encouraged governments, private organisations and development partners to create more platforms for youth empowerment, including skills acquisition programmes, access to finance and entrepreneurship support.

The experts said empowering youths would not only improve their economic prospects but also contribute to national development and reduce social vices associated with unemployment and hopelessness.

They therefore urged young Nigerians to remain resilient, identify problems around them and develop practical solutions that could benefit society while creating sustainable livelihoods.
