President Bola Tinubu has ended his working vacation in Europe and departed Paris, France, for Lagos, where he is expected to hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s aircraft is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, later on Tuesday.

The President left Abuja on August 30 for the working vacation, spending about a week in London before travelling to Paris.

The Presidency said Tinubu chose to return through Lagos to honour the memory of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s democratic struggle.

Tinubu is expected to attend the October 1 premiere of a movie honouring Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.

While in Lagos, the President will also hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates as preparations continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During his stay in France, Tinubu held a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and met business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré. He also met First HoldCo Chairman Femi Otedola.

The President is expected to return to Abuja after concluding his engagements in Lagos.
