Minister of Works, David Umahi, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not return to power in Ebonyi State in the 2027 elections.

Umahi, a former governor of the state, made the statement while speaking on the political developments in Ebonyi and the state’s evolving political landscape.

He said the political structure in the state had changed significantly, adding that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had gained strong support among residents.

The minister maintained that the APC would continue to consolidate its position in Ebonyi ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His comments come as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with attention increasingly focused on the political contest across the states.
