Police Nab Seven for Cattle Rustling

The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested seven suspected members of a cattle-rustling syndicate allegedly operating across Garki, Jahun and Miga Local Government Areas of the state.

The suspects were apprehended during routine patrols following intelligence and information from members of the public. Police also recovered eight cows suspected to have been rustled and intercepted two vehicles allegedly used by the syndicate.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 40, are Sulaiman Tijjani, Abdullahi Musa, Bala Muhammad, Isah Adamu, Yusuf Sa’idu, Mansur Usaini and Kaku Abubakar.

The police said the suspects remain in custody and are assisting investigators, while efforts are ongoing to identify other members of the alleged syndicate and recover more stolen livestock.
