The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has commenced efforts to remove illegal structures and address encroachment within the Olusosun Dumpsite as part of measures to protect the facility and sustain waste management operations.

The initiative is aimed at preventing unauthorised developments from interfering with activities at the dumpsite, which plays an important role in Lagos State’s waste disposal system.

LAWMA is also taking steps to safeguard the facility from further encroachment and ensure that waste management operations continue without disruption.

The move forms part of broader efforts to maintain critical waste management infrastructure and promote a cleaner and healthier environment across Lagos State.
