The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has arrested a resident for allegedly dumping waste into a drainage channel in Lagos.

The arrest was made as part of the agency’s efforts to enforce environmental regulations and curb indiscriminate waste disposal across the state.

LAWMA warned residents against disposing of refuse in drainage channels, noting that such practices can obstruct waterways and increase the risk of flooding.

The agency urged Lagos residents to use designated waste disposal channels and comply with environmental regulations.
