Several bandits have reportedly been killed by soldiers following an attack in Sokoto State, as security forces intensified operations against armed groups in the area.

According to reports, troops responded to the attack and engaged the bandits, killing several of them during the operation.

The military has also launched an air operation as part of efforts to track and neutralise the remaining attackers and disrupt their activities in the affected communities.

The operation comes amid renewed security concerns in parts of Sokoto, where armed groups have continued to threaten rural communities through attacks and kidnappings.

Security forces are expected to sustain the operation and pursue the fleeing bandits to prevent further attacks.
