The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has shut down Plateau State University, Bokkos, over unresolved demands by members.

The union declared an indefinite strike, citing outstanding issues that have remained unresolved despite engagements with the university authorities and other relevant stakeholders.

The development has disrupted academic activities at the institution, affecting students, lecturers and other members of the university community.

ASUU is demanding urgent action from the relevant authorities to address the outstanding issues and create conditions for the resumption of academic activities.

The union’s action underscores the continuing concerns over welfare, unpaid entitlements and other conditions affecting staff in some state-owned universities.
