GSK has secured two regulatory milestones that could strengthen its pharmaceutical pipeline and support future growth.
Japan has approved bepirovirsen, GSK’s treatment for chronic hepatitis B, marking the drug’s first approval worldwide. The treatment is designed to help patients achieve a functional cure and could reduce the need for long-term antiviral therapy.
In the United States, the FDA has also granted priority review to GSK’s cancer drug Jemperli (dostarlimab) for potential use in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer.
The developments highlight GSK’s continued focus on innovative treatments for serious diseases and expand the company’s growth opportunities in both infectious diseases and oncology.
