As the presidential and senatorial campaigns formally begin, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State is expected to play a major role in mobilising support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Supporters of the governor said his record in office has given him strong political capital across Adamawa State, pointing to projects in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and other sectors as evidence of his administration’s commitment to development.

They said residents across the state have witnessed the implementation of projects in both urban and rural communities, arguing that the governor’s achievements have strengthened confidence in his leadership.

Fintiri’s supporters also maintained that his administration has pursued initiatives aimed at improving public services and transforming communities across the state. They said his approach to governance has attracted attention from visitors, investors, and business leaders who have observed changes in infrastructure and other areas.

According to them, the governor’s reputation has also extended beyond Adamawa, with residents of neighbouring states expressing interest in some of the development policies being implemented in the state.

As the 2027 campaign season begins, Fintiri is expected to focus on mobilising support for the President, the governor, and other APC candidates seeking elective positions.

His supporters believe that his experience, political capacity, and record in Adamawa will be important assets in the party’s campaign as it seeks a decisive victory in the 2027 elections.
