Fintiri Names Prof. Liman Tukur DG of Renewed Hope 226 Movement in Adamawa.

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has appointed Professor Abdullahi Liman Tukur as the Director General of the Adamawa Renewed Hope 226 Movement (ARH 226 M).

The appointment was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou.

According to the statement, the movement is a political mobilisation platform established to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections in Adamawa State and at the national level, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Fintiri congratulated Prof. Tukur on his appointment and expressed confidence in his academic background, leadership experience and commitment to democratic ideals.

The Governor described him as a suitable choice to lead the movement, citing his experience in governance, scholarship and grassroots mobilisation.

Fintiri charged the new Director General to work closely with APC leaders, stakeholders, youth and women groups to expand the movement across the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.

He also called on APC members and supporters across the state to support Prof. Tukur and the movement in its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
