Details and photographs from Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez’s intimate wedding ceremony in Portugal have emerged, offering a rare glimpse into the couple’s private celebration.

The Portuguese football superstar and Rodríguez reportedly exchanged vows in a private ceremony at their mansion in Cascais, Portugal, last week, nearly a year after Ronaldo proposed with an engagement ring reportedly valued at £3m.

Photographs released by Vogue on Sunday showed the couple celebrating their wedding in the living room of their home, choosing an intimate setting rather than a lavish ceremony surrounded by a large gathering of celebrities.

According to Vogue, the wedding took place on August 11, exactly 10 years after Ronaldo and Rodríguez first met at a Gucci store in Madrid.

The couple wore Gucci designs created by Demna for the special occasion, adding a touch of luxury to the otherwise private ceremony.

“It was exactly as I’d imagined it,” Rodríguez said while reflecting on the wedding day.

The ceremony had attracted considerable speculation in the weeks leading up to the event, with fans and followers eager to learn the date, venue and possible guest list.

However, Ronaldo and Rodríguez kept the details closely guarded and ultimately chose their family home as the setting for the occasion.

Their children played a central role in the wedding, reflecting the importance the couple places on family life.

“The children know that our time belongs to them,” Rodríguez said.

She explained that she and Ronaldo wanted their children to appreciate both privilege and simplicity, including “the value of having nothing and of having everything.”

“At our wedding, the children were protagonists, as they are in all our days,” she added.

The couple have also left the door open to expanding their family in the future.

“I never say never,” Ronaldo said when asked about having more children.

Rodríguez, however, joked about the demands of raising their current family.

“Another baby now would be overbooking at home,” she said, adding that they could still consider having another child when their younger children are older.

“When the youngest are 15 or 16, we’ll still be young, so why not? It’s true that I can’t imagine myself without small children, so we’ll see,” she added.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together for about a decade and have built a large family while the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has continued to enjoy a hugely successful career in professional football.

Their decision to hold the ceremony at home allowed the couple to mark the occasion surrounded by those closest to them while maintaining the privacy that has characterised much of their family life.

The newly emerged photographs now offer fans a glimpse into a celebration that Ronaldo and Rodríguez deliberately kept away from the public spotlight.
