Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has demanded access to his family and N10 billion in damages from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.

El-Rufai is challenging his alleged denial of access to his wife and son while in custody, describing the restriction as a violation of his fundamental rights.

He is asking the Federal High Court in Abuja to order the ICPC to grant him unhindered access to his family and counsel.

The former governor is also seeking N10 billion in damages over alleged humiliation, emotional trauma, anxiety and psychological distress.
