Bank of America has announced plans to deploy $250 billion toward critical U.S. infrastructure projects through July 2027, as major financial institutions increase their focus on infrastructure and technology investment.

The initiative will support projects linked to AI data centers, digital infrastructure, semiconductors, power generation, energy storage, transportation, natural gas, water systems and critical minerals.

Bank of America said the financing will involve lending, investments, capital-markets services and advisory support. The bank expects the initiative to help accelerate infrastructure development, strengthen U.S. economic competitiveness and create tens of thousands of jobs.

The move comes as demand for infrastructure rises sharply, particularly from the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and data centers, which require significant amounts of electricity and digital capacity.

Bank of America said the $250 billion target will be measured over an 18-month period running from January 2026 through July 2027, with the possibility of additional capital deployment afterward.
