The Kebbi State Government has convened an emergency security meeting following a series of attacks in parts of the state, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding lives and property through enhanced security measures.
The meeting, chaired by Governor Nasir Idris, brought together heads of security agencies, traditional rulers and other key stakeholders to review the prevailing security situation and adopt strategies to address emerging threats.
Governor Idris expressed concern over the recent incidents and directed security agencies to intensify surveillance, strengthen intelligence gathering and sustain coordinated operations aimed at preventing further attacks and restoring peace to affected communities.
The governor also called for closer collaboration between security operatives and local communities, stressing that timely intelligence and public cooperation remain critical to tackling insecurity across the state.
Participants at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to working collectively to improve security, protect residents and ensure that criminal elements are brought to justice.
The Kebbi State Government assured residents that proactive measures are being implemented to enhance security across the state and urged the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities promptly and continue supporting ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability.
