Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure victory in the 2027 presidential election in Bauchi State and across the North-East, reaffirming his commitment to mobilising support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the region.
Dogara stated that he remains a loyal member of the APC and is fully committed to working with party leaders and supporters to strengthen the party ahead of the next general elections. He dismissed reports suggesting he planned to leave the ruling party, describing them as false and the handiwork of political mischief makers.
According to his spokesperson, Dogara is focused on supporting President Tinubu’s re-election bid while promoting unity within the APC and advancing what he described as good governance and national development. He also urged party members and the public to disregard unverified reports about his political future.
Dogara’s renewed endorsement comes as political consultations and alignments continue ahead of the 2027 general elections, with key stakeholders across the North-East reaffirming support for the Tinubu administration and pledging to mobilise grassroots backing for the APC across the region.
