Dangote Cement Plc has recorded revenue of more than ₦2 trillion, driven by strong demand in the Nigerian market and sustained sales across its domestic operations.
The cement giant attributed the impressive performance to resilient construction activities, increased infrastructure development and steady demand from both public and private sector projects. The company’s strong domestic sales helped offset challenges in some regional markets and reinforced its position as Africa’s largest cement producer.
According to the company’s latest financial results, revenue growth was supported by higher sales volumes and improved pricing, reflecting continued investment in production capacity and distribution efficiency. The performance comes despite a challenging business environment characterised by inflationary pressures, rising energy costs and foreign exchange volatility.
Industry analysts said the results demonstrate the resilience of Nigeria’s construction sector, where demand for cement has remained strong due to ongoing housing projects, road construction and other infrastructure developments. They noted that government investment in public infrastructure has also contributed to sustained demand for building materials.
Dangote Cement continued to strengthen its market leadership through investments in operational efficiency, alternative energy sources and logistics improvements aimed at reducing production costs and ensuring a steady supply of cement across the country.
The company also maintained its focus on expanding exports to neighbouring African markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), while prioritising domestic demand to support Nigeria’s growing construction industry.
Market experts believe the strong revenue performance positions the company for continued growth despite prevailing macroeconomic challenges. They added that sustained investment in infrastructure and urban development is expected to keep cement demand robust in the medium term.
The latest earnings underscore Dangote Cement’s strategic importance to Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and its contribution to industrial development, employment and economic growth. Analysts expect the company to continue benefiting from increased construction activities and ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure nationwide.
