The Lagos State Government has announced the release of the 2026 merit admission list for candidates seeking entry into its Model Colleges and upgraded secondary schools.
In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, successful candidates who participated in the May 2026 screening exercise have been advised to check their admission status via the Lagos State Examinations Board portal.
The government confirmed that the list was finalised after the completion of all screening processes for prospective students across the state-owned institutions.
Admitted candidates are expected to begin the next phase of their enrollment by visiting their assigned schools from August 31, 2026, to collect admission letters and complete registration formalities.
Authorities urged students offered admission to approach their academic journey with seriousness and commitment, while reaffirming the state’s dedication to maintaining a fair and merit-driven admission system.
The government also reiterated its commitment to expanding access to quality education through its Model Colleges and upgraded schools across Lagos.
