Major League Soccer side Inter Miami have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro on a free transfer, adding one of world football’s most accomplished defensive midfielders to a squad already packed with international stars.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder joins the Florida club after the expiration of his contract, marking another high-profile acquisition for Inter Miami as they continue to strengthen their ambitions both domestically and internationally.
Casemiro arrives with a glittering résumé, having won numerous major honours during his career, including multiple UEFA Champions League titles, La Liga championships, the FIFA Club World Cup and domestic trophies in England and Spain.
Speaking after completing the move, the Brazilian international expressed his excitement about embarking on a new chapter in Major League Soccer.

The move also reunites Casemiro with several familiar faces, including Argentine legend Lionel Messi, as Inter Miami continue assembling one of the most star-studded squads in MLS history.
Widely regarded as one of football’s elite defensive midfielders, Casemiro built his reputation at Real Madrid, where he formed part of the legendary midfield trio alongside Luka Modrić and Toni Kroos. Together, they dominated European football and helped Los Blancos secure five UEFA Champions League titles.
He later moved to Manchester United, where his experience proved instrumental in helping the club win domestic silverware and return to European competition.
Despite attracting interest from clubs in Europe, the Middle East and South America, Casemiro opted for a move to the United States, citing the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of football in North America.
Football analysts believe his arrival will significantly strengthen Inter Miami’s midfield, providing defensive stability, tactical discipline and invaluable leadership for a squad targeting MLS Cup success and continental honours.
