A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail of N2 billion to the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, in a case involving allegations of money laundering.

Bodejo was granted bail following charges bordering on alleged financial offences involving about $2.63 million.

The court, while granting the bail, attached conditions aimed at ensuring the defendant’s availability throughout the trial. The conditions reportedly include the provision of sureties and compliance with other requirements set by the court.

The defendant was also required to adhere to the court’s directives as proceedings continue.

The case has attracted public attention due to the nature of the allegations and the profile of the defendant. However, the allegations remain before the court and have not been proven.

The court proceedings are expected to continue as both the prosecution and defence present their respective arguments.

The defendant remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until a final judgment is delivered by the court.
