One of the pupils recently rescued from the abduction incident in Oyo State has expressed determination to return to school despite the traumatic experience in the hands of the kidnappers.

The pupil, while recounting the ordeal, said the experience was frightening but insisted that it would not discourage him from continuing his education. The child reportedly described the difficult conditions endured during the period of captivity and expressed gratitude to those who worked towards securing their release.

The rescued pupil’s remarks have drawn admiration from many Nigerians, with several people praising the child’s courage and resilience in the face of adversity.

The abduction, which sparked nationwide concern, renewed calls for improved security around schools and stronger measures to protect students and teachers from criminal attacks. Security experts and community leaders have also stressed the need for increased vigilance and collaboration between communities and security agencies.

Meanwhile, government officials have assured the public of continued support for the victims and their families, including access to medical care, counselling, and other forms of assistance to help them recover from the traumatic incident.

As the rescued pupils gradually return to normal life, many parents and education advocates have called for sustained efforts to ensure that schools remain safe environments where children can learn without fear.
