Abia State governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Action Congress, Doris Ogala, has declared her intention to become the next governor of the state, saying that Abia people have no choice but to support her bid for office.
Speaking during an engagement with party supporters and stakeholders, Ogala expressed confidence that her vision and leadership qualities make her the right candidate to lead the state. She said the people of Abia are yearning for a government that will deliver genuine development and improve their standard of living.
“Abia has no choice, I will be your governor because the people deserve a new direction and a government that truly cares about their welfare,” she said.
The AAC governorship aspirant noted that unemployment, inadequate infrastructure and economic challenges remain major issues confronting the state. She promised to introduce policies that would promote job creation, support small businesses and attract investments capable of driving economic growth.
Ogala also pledged to prioritise education, healthcare and youth empowerment, stressing that her administration would operate on the principles of accountability, transparency and good governance.
She called on residents of the state, especially young people and women, to join her movement and support the African Action Congress ahead of the governorship election. According to her, the state is ready for a new chapter of leadership that will place the interests of the people above politics.
Political observers believe her declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants seeking to govern Abia State, as political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the next election cycle.
