Thousands of applicants seeking employment into the Taraba State Civil Service have been subjected to a stressful application process following the failure of the Taraba State Civil Service Commission’s recruitment website.
Applicants are first required to pay a ₦3,000 application fee at any Zenith Bank branch, where long queues have been reported. They are then expected to present their deposit slips at the Civil Service Commission headquarters in Jalingo to obtain application forms, where even larger crowds have gathered.
Many applicants described the process as tedious, noting that a functional online portal would have eliminated the need for physical queues. With candidates from various local government areas traveling to Jalingo, they urged the commission to adopt a more efficient digital application system, Taraba Daily Graph reports.
