Several Nigerian footballers have made impressive starts to the new season, with their performances in Europe and the Nigeria Premier Football League attracting growing attention.

Victor Osimhen has continued his prolific form at Galatasaray, scoring six goals in his opening four league games, including a brace and an assist against Erzurumspor.

Gift Orban has also been outstanding in Turkey, scoring seven goals in six matches for Amedspor, including a hat-trick against Başakşehir.

Kelechi Iheanacho has revived his career at Bursaspor, recording 11 goals and two assists in nine appearances. His form earned him a Super Eagles recall, and he scored against Russia.

At Ajax, Tolu Arokodare has quickly established himself, contributing five goals and two assists in 355 minutes after joining on loan.

Rafiu Durosinmi has scored five goals in six league games for Genk following his €10.5m move from Pisa, while targeting at least 20 goals this season.

Samuel Chukwueze has flourished as a right wing-back at AC Milan, registering three assists in his first four league matches.

At Fulham, Calvin Bassey has taken on greater leadership responsibility, captaining the club in its opening three league games.

Rasheedat Ajibade has impressed at Paris Saint-Germain, scoring against both Oud-Heverlee Leuven and Fleury.

Ola Aina returned to the Super Eagles after almost a year away and featured in Nigeria’s victory over Madagascar.

In the NPFL, Godwin Obaje reached a landmark 100 league goals, becoming only the second player in the past decade to achieve the feat.

Together, the performances underline the depth of Nigerian talent across domestic and international football.
