The Adamawa State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Prambe, has praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for prioritising the development and strengthening of traditional institutions across the state.
Prambe made the commendation while inspecting construction work on palaces being developed for newly established traditional institutions in Hong, Michika and Madagali.

He said the Governor’s approval for the construction of befitting palaces across the seven newly created chiefdoms and emirates demonstrates the administration’s recognition of the importance of traditional institutions to the state’s cultural heritage and grassroots governance.
The Commissioner described traditional rulers as important stakeholders in maintaining cultural values and fostering peace, unity, reconciliation and community development.

He explained that the new palaces would provide appropriate institutional environments for traditional leaders to perform their duties, interact with their communities and contribute to government initiatives at the grassroots.
Prambe also commended the contractors executing the projects for their commitment to the work and adherence to contractual requirements.
He urged them to sustain the quality of construction and maintain the current pace of work to ensure the projects are completed within the expected timeframe.
