Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is expected to lead a major women’s mobilisation summit in Abuja as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
The Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Campaign Roll-Out is scheduled for Monday, October 5, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Organised by the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, the event is expected to attract more than 20,000 women from across the country, including women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, community representatives and grassroots organisers.
The summit is themed “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity,” with the mobilisation message, “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027.”
According to organisers, the gathering will focus on women’s political participation, empowerment, grassroots mobilisation and engagement with government programmes.
The event is part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections and efforts to strengthen its women mobilisation structures nationwide.
The organisers have also highlighted programmes including student loans, infrastructure development, social protection, consumer credit and youth empowerment as areas for discussion during the mobilisation exercise.
