Tesla Delivers 486,532 Vehicles as European Demand Fuels Recovery

Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, beating Wall Street expectations as stronger sales in Europe helped offset weaker demand in the United States and China.

The deliveries were above analysts’ average estimate of 456,896 vehicles and put Tesla on course to end two consecutive years of declining annual sales. The company needs to deliver at least 311,448 vehicles in the fourth quarter to avoid a third straight annual decline.

Tesla’s European sales have recovered from last year’s downturn. Registrations across the European Union increased by about two-thirds between January and August compared with the same period in 2025, while the Model Y became France’s best-selling vehicle in September.

The company produced 464,391 vehicles during the quarter, below deliveries and below analysts’ production expectations. Model 3 and Model Y vehicles accounted for 478,237 of the deliveries. Tesla also deployed 13.7 gigawatt-hours of energy-storage products.

The stronger delivery figures come as Tesla increasingly focuses on artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and robotaxis. The company is scheduled to release its third-quarter financial results on October 21.
