Case Keenum produced a standout performance on his return to the NFL starting lineup as the Chicago Bears defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 in Monday night’s Week 3 clash.
The 38-year-old quarterback stepped in for the injured Caleb Williams and delivered two touchdown passes before adding a rushing touchdown, guiding Chicago to its second victory of the season.
Keenum completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards without an interception in his first start since December 2023. He opened the scoring with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Luther Burden III before later finding Kalif Raymond for a 41-yard score.
His one-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter capped a 13-play, eight-minute drive that effectively ended Philadelphia’s hopes of a comeback.
The Bears’ defence also played a major role, forcing three turnovers and limiting Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts to 153 passing yards and one interception. Philadelphia managed only 62 total yards in the second half and committed 10 penalties.
The result lifted Chicago to 2-1, while Philadelphia also moved to 2-1 after suffering its first defeat of the season.
