Commuters travelling along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway were stranded for several hours on Tuesday as severe traffic congestion disrupted movement along the major Lagos-South-West route.
The gridlock left some travellers sleeping inside their vehicles while others abandoned their cars and continued their journeys on foot or with motorcycles to escape the prolonged traffic.
The situation caused significant delays for motorists and passengers, highlighting the recurring traffic challenges on the busy expressway, which serves as a major link between Lagos and several states in the South West.
