Brighton & Hove Albion have continued their pursuit of Nigerian winger Femi Azeez, with Millwall reportedly setting a £15m asking price for the highly rated forward ahead of the summer transfer deadline.

According to BBC Sport, Brighton have submitted two offers for Azeez in recent weeks, with their latest proposal understood to be worth £12m. However, Millwall have made it clear that they will only consider a deal if their £15m valuation is met.

Azeez is reportedly keen on the move to the Amex Stadium, with the opportunity to continue his career in the Premier League understood to be a major attraction for the Nigeria international.

Millwall are prepared to allow the 25-year-old to leave if Brighton meet their demands, but the south London club currently considers the Premier League side’s latest bid insufficient.

Millwall signed Azeez from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, and with two years remaining on his contract, the club would make a substantial profit if the winger completes a move for anything close to their £15m valuation.

Azeez has also attracted interest from fellow Championship club Wrexham, but the Nigerian’s preference is reportedly a move to the Premier League.

His impressive 2025/26 campaign earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year after he scored 11 goals and registered seven assists for Millwall.

His performances also earned him recognition from Nigeria coach Eric Chelle, who handed him a senior international call-up.

Azeez quickly repaid that faith during Nigeria’s Unity Cup triumph in May, scoring twice against Zimbabwe and providing an assist against Jamaica.

With the transfer deadline approaching, Brighton will now have to decide whether to increase their offer to meet Millwall’s £15m valuation or risk seeing their pursuit of the Nigerian winger end without an agreement.
