Balmoral Promotions and Stamina For Sale have launched the Stamina High Performance Academy in Nigeria, an initiative aimed at identifying, developing and preparing the next generation of Nigerian boxing talent for professional and international opportunities.
The academy will operate initially in Lagos and Akwa Ibom, combining Stamina For Sale’s high-performance boxing expertise in the United Kingdom with Balmoral’s experience in Nigeria’s boxing and sports promotion industry.
Founder of Stamina For Sale, Tunde Ajayi, said Nigeria has significant boxing talent that needs to be properly identified and developed.
He explained that the academy would focus on talent identification, athlete development and creating clear pathways for promising fighters to progress to the highest levels of professional and international boxing.
Ajayi, who has worked with several prominent boxers, including Anthony Yarde, Daniel Dubois and Adam Azim, said the launch in Lagos and Akwa Ibom was an important starting point for building stronger links between Nigerian fighters and the international boxing community.
Also speaking, Balmoral CEO Dr Ezekiel Adamu said Nigeria has both the talent and passion required to succeed in boxing, but more opportunities were needed to identify, nurture and showcase promising athletes.
He described the partnership with Stamina as a combination of Nigerian opportunities and UK expertise that could help create a stronger development pathway for young boxers.
Further details on the academy’s initial talent identification trials in Lagos and Akwa Ibom are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The initiative is expected to contribute to the development of Nigerian boxing by providing young fighters with structured training, professional guidance and opportunities to compete at higher levels.
