Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc has reported a 22 per cent increase in profit to N14 billion for the first half of 2026, reflecting improved operational efficiency, rising aviation activities and sustained growth across its business segments.
The company disclosed the strong financial performance in its half year results, noting that the increase in profitability was driven by higher revenue generation, cost optimisation and increased demand for aviation ground handling services.
According to the company’s financial report, NAHCO continued to benefit from increased passenger and cargo traffic, as well as improved service delivery across airports where it operates. Management said the performance underscores the company’s resilience and strategic focus on delivering value to shareholders.
The company also attributed the improved earnings to investments in modern equipment, enhanced operational processes and efforts to strengthen customer relationships within the aviation industry. It added that these initiatives have contributed to greater efficiency and higher productivity across its operations.
Industry analysts described the results as a positive indication of the gradual recovery and expansion of Nigeria’s aviation sector. They noted that increasing air travel demand, improved logistics services and stronger airline operations have created new growth opportunities for aviation support companies.
Analysts further observed that NAHCO’s consistent financial performance reinforces investor confidence and positions the company for sustained growth as the aviation industry continues to recover from previous economic challenges.
Management reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high service standards, expanding its operational capacity and pursuing innovation to improve efficiency. The company also expressed optimism about sustaining its growth momentum during the second half of the year through continued investment and strategic partnerships.
Market observers believe the impressive half year performance places NAHCO in a strong position to capitalise on the increasing demand for aviation services while delivering long term value to shareholders and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
