Russian missile and drone attacks have killed civilians in Ukraine as the war between Moscow and Kyiv continues to intensify, while Ukrainian forces carry out strikes against Russian military and energy related targets.
Ukrainian officials said Russian attacks targeted several areas across the country, causing casualties and damage to residential buildings and critical infrastructure. Emergency teams were deployed to affected locations as authorities assessed the extent of the destruction.
Russia has continued to use missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, while Kyiv has stepped up efforts to strike military facilities, fuel supplies and other strategic targets inside Russian territory.
Ukrainian officials have said such operations are aimed at weakening Russia’s ability to continue its military campaign, while Moscow has accused Kyiv of targeting civilian and economic infrastructure.
The continued exchange of attacks comes as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict remain uncertain, with both sides maintaining their positions and preparing for further military operations.
International leaders have renewed calls for a ceasefire and a negotiated settlement, warning that the ongoing conflict continues to pose risks to regional security and global stability.
