The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Taraba State Government over outstanding financial obligations owed to academic staff.

The union’s decision reflects growing concerns over unresolved allowances, wage-related arrears and other outstanding demands affecting members of the university community.

ASUU-TSU warned that failure by the state government to address the issues within the stipulated period could lead to further action by the union.

The development has raised concerns over the potential impact of the unresolved disputes on academic activities at Taraba State University.

The union is expected to engage with the government during the 14-day period in an effort to resolve the outstanding matters and prevent disruption to academic programmes.

The situation underscores the importance of timely resolution of staff welfare and financial obligations to ensure stability in the state’s tertiary education sector.
