The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports on or before Friday, August 7, 2026, as part of preparations for the pilgrimage. The board said the exercise is aimed at facilitating the timely processing of travel documents and other administrative requirements.
In a statement issued by the board, Director-General Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle explained that passport submission commenced on August 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other necessary procedures well ahead of the Hajj exercise. He stressed that early compliance would help prevent delays and ensure adherence to timelines set by the relevant authorities.
The board urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period, warning that failure to do so could affect the processing of their Hajj documentation. It also appealed to prospective pilgrims to cooperate fully with officials throughout the preparation process to ensure a smooth and hitch-free pilgrimage.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board reaffirmed its commitment to providing efficient services and ensuring that all eligible pilgrims complete the required documentation in good time as preparations for the 2027 Hajj continue.
