The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to creating an enabling business environment for credible investors, with Vice President Kashim Shettima assuring local and foreign businesses of continued support aimed at driving economic growth, job creation and sustainable development.

Shettima said the administration remains focused on implementing reforms that will attract quality investments across key sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, technology and mining. He noted that strengthening investor confidence remains central to the government’s strategy for accelerating Nigeria’s economic transformation.

Speaking during an engagement with investors and business leaders, the Vice President said the government is committed to ensuring policy consistency, improving the ease of doing business and removing bureaucratic bottlenecks that discourage investment. He added that credible investors willing to contribute to Nigeria’s economic development would receive the necessary support to establish and expand their operations.

According to him, the administration has continued to introduce reforms designed to improve the investment climate, increase productivity and position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination in Africa. He stressed that collaboration between the public and private sectors remains essential to unlocking the country’s vast economic potential.

Shettima further stated that government would continue to invest in critical infrastructure, strengthen institutions and promote transparency to encourage long term investments. He explained that expanding access to reliable infrastructure, stable regulations and efficient public services would enhance business competitiveness and stimulate industrial growth.

He also encouraged investors to take advantage of Nigeria’s large consumer market, youthful population and abundant natural resources, describing the country as one of Africa’s most attractive destinations for long term investment opportunities.

Economic analysts said sustained policy implementation, macroeconomic stability and improved security would be crucial to attracting higher levels of domestic and foreign direct investment. They noted that investor confidence is often influenced by regulatory certainty, infrastructure development and the government’s ability to maintain a stable business environment.

The renewed assurance comes as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to diversify the economy, strengthen private sector participation and attract investments capable of boosting exports, increasing employment and supporting inclusive economic growth.
