New Delhi – Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel reported a 37.3% year-on-year increase in quarterly profit, driven by strong subscriber growth and more customers upgrading to premium 4G and 5G plans.

The company posted a net profit of 81.67 billion rupees (about $856 million) for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, while revenue rose 18.4% to 585.39 billion rupees, beating market expectations.

Airtel’s Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) increased 5.6% to 264 rupees, reflecting higher customer spending. Its 4G and 5G subscriber base also grew by 7.5%, with total subscribers in India reaching nearly 492 million.
