WWE SummerSlam 2026 concluded with a thrilling Night 2 that featured a shocking return, multiple championship changes and an unforgettable main event.
The biggest surprise of the night came as Kevin Owens made his long-awaited return after more than a year away from WWE. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis added Owens to the Undisputed WWE Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match alongside Sami Zayn, Finn Bálor and Gunther. Owens overcame the competition to secure a future title match against Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk.
In the night’s main event, Roman Reigns successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Seth Rollins in a hard-fought 33-minute battle. Following the match, the former Shield teammates shared a respectful moment, bringing closure to one of WWE’s most storied rivalries.
The WWE Women’s Championship also saw a new titleholder as Chelsea Green shocked Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend in a Ladder Match to capture the interim championship while Rhea Ripley remains sidelined with an injury.
Elsewhere, Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams to become the new United States Champion, while Chad Gable fulfilled his dream of winning singles gold by defeating Penta to claim the Intercontinental Championship in front of his hometown fans.
The night also featured an entertaining “Human Monies on a Pole” match, where Danhausen, aided by the Minihausens and Joe Hendry, defeated Dominik Mysterio to remain undefeated in WWE.
