The people of Sintali A and B communities in Jalingo, under the Muri Emirate Council, have commended Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for issuing executive orders aimed at combating drug abuse, political thuggery, electoral violence, and illegal mining.
In a statement signed by the Sintalin Muri III, Alhaji Sa’adu Usman Sambo, on behalf of the people of Sintali A and B communities and the Muri Emirate Council, the community described the governor’s actions as timely and necessary for strengthening peace, security, public safety, and environmental protection across the state.
According to the statement, the communities have consistently advocated stronger measures to tackle the growing challenges of drug abuse, political violence, insecurity, and environmental degradation, particularly in Jalingo and other parts of Taraba State.
The community pledged its full support for the implementation of the executive orders and expressed its readiness to work closely with the state government to ensure the success of the initiatives.
The statement also urged residents of Jalingo and the wider Taraba State to cooperate with the government by supporting the new measures, noting that collective responsibility is essential to building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous state.
Governor Kefas recently signed the executive orders as part of his administration’s broader efforts to improve security, curb criminal activities, regulate mining operations, and promote a peaceful political environment ahead of future elections.
