President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals to serve in 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions, with former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose appointed Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, REA.
According to a statement on the appointments, Major General Junaid Bindawa was appointed Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, while former Lagos lawmaker Olajumoke Okoya Thomas was named Secretary of the commission.
Other appointments include Dr Abuh Mohammed as Director General of the National Population Commission, Dr Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading, NBET, and Dr Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.
Engineer Julius Oloro was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, NCAM, in Kwara State, replacing Dr A.R. Kamal, who died in January.
The President also approved the constitution of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission board, with Dr Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman.
Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non Formal Education, while Gisaor Vincent Iorja was named Executive Director of Finance at the Federal Housing Authority.
Tosin Johnson Adeyanju, previously appointed Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, NLTF, was redeployed as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
The appointments also include new members of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission and the board of the Rural Electrification Agency.
The Presidency said all the appointments took immediate effect
