FULL LIST: Ronaldo extends record as Europe’s most-capped international, 14 others

Cristiano Ronaldo has further extended his record as Europe’s most-capped men’s international player, taking his Portugal appearances to 234.

The 41-year-old reached the milestone after featuring in Portugal’s 1-0 victory over Wales in the UEFA Nations League. Ronaldo became the first footballer to reach 200 international appearances in June 2023 and has continued to extend his record.

According to UEFA’s latest statistics, Ronaldo is now 32 appearances ahead of Croatia midfielder Luka Modrić, who has 202 caps.

Ronaldo also remains Europe’s leading international goalscorer, with 146 goals for Portugal. UEFA notes that several players on the list, including Ronaldo, Modrić, Lewandowski, Perišić, Xhaka, Eriksen and Džeko, remain active internationally.
